In the midst of very hectic ADA, we are very proud to share with you the first videos of the new Big Blue Test 2012 campaign by Diabetes Hands Foundation (yes, there are a few more to come later this year):
- A summary of what we’ve accomplished through the Big Blue Test in 2010-11
- The same summary, in Spanish
- the touching story of BBT 2011 grantee, St. Anthony’s Medical Clinic (San Francisco)
http://youtu.be/lpZHG9SfBWU?hd=1 – the story of Mia, a participant in the 2011 BBT video
http://youtu.be/HELikG_7o1k?hd=1 – the story of Terry (from Insulindependence), another participant in the 2011 videos
- A beautiful video we did with Riding on Insulin in Breckenridge, Co.
- We have also redesigned the Big Blue Test web site:
http://www.bigbluetest.org/ (which is centered around share all of the above stories, not yet collecting Big Blue Test data).
Also, I am happy to share the news of the Big Blue Test poster I will be presenting at the ADA Sessions Monday, 12-2 pm, with Sheri Colberg:
http://www.bigbluetest.org/2012/06/presenting-big-blue-test-at-2012-ada/ (if you are in Philly that day/time and can make it, please join us!)
As we said before, we are VERY proud of this first phase of the 2012 Big Blue Test campaign and we want to take a moment to thank the sponsor (Roche) for making it possible, the participants and grantees from last year, and the Big Blue Test team.
Please help us get the word out: in 2012, we are shooting for 20,000 Big Blue Test entries. And to help support that effort, Roche has also increased their support for the program AND their donation: $100,000 are being donated, $25,000 of which are going to support the work by Ayuda in Dominican Republic and another $25,000 of which are going to support the work of the folks at the Haitian Diabetes Association.
