As you read this, we are working hard on a new and improved home on the web for the Big Blue Test that will go live VERY soon (before November 1)… all the parts of the campaign are gradually falling in place: the trailer is ready, the new site is nearly ready, the main video is almost there, Big Blue Test t-shirts have arrived and will soon be available on the DHF Online Store.
Last year, more than 2,000 people did the Big Blue Test. Over 120,000 people watched the 2010 Big Blue Test video. Participation in the campaign triggered a $75,000 donation from Roche Diabetes Care for humanitarian diabetes charities. The donation provided insulin and supplies to more than 2,000 people with diabetes in developing countries.
In 2011, for each person that does the Big Blue Test, Roche Diabetes Care will make a donation to support humanitarian diabetes programs. When you do 14 to 20 minutes of exercise and share your experience on BigBlueTest.org, YOU help yourself and you help us get life-saving supplies to OTHER people with diabetes in need. We need 8,000 people to DO the Big Blue Test this year, not just watch the video! (although we think you will love it as much if not more than last year!)
How to Join the Big Blue Test:
Between November 1 and November 14, 2011 (World Diabetes Day):
1. Test your blood sugar.
2. Get active for at least 14 minutes (run, walk, bike, jump, exercise however you can!)
3. Test again.
4. Share your results on BigBlueTest.org.
